Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the boat's battery to prevent accidental starting.
2. Gain access to the sterndrive's upper unit.
3. Locate the water pump housing, which is installed on the bottom side of the upper unit.
4. Carefully remove the bolts securing the housing cover.
5. Note the rotational direction of the old impeller blades before removing it.
6. Remove the old impeller, gaskets, wear plate, and seals from the housing.
7. Thoroughly clean the inside of the housing and all mating surfaces to ensure a proper seal.
8. Install the new shaft seal and wear plate into the housing.
9. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with a suitable marine lubricant, then install the impeller, ensuring the blades are bent in the correct direction.
10. Install the new O-rings and gaskets onto the housing or cover.
11. Reinstall the housing cover and tighten the bolts in a crossing pattern to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications.
12. Reconnect the battery, launch the boat, and run the engine at idle. Check for water leaks around the housing and confirm a steady stream of water from the tell-tale outlet.
