Poggio alle Fate, Italiaans voor Heuvel van de Feeën, is niet alleen een sprookjesachtige verwijzing naar het heuvelachtige landschap rondomCastello di Albola, maar meer nog naar de mystieke, verborgen kwaliteiten van een klein perceel wijngaard van slechts 3,2 hectare met een terroir die samengesteld is uit mergel, rode kleiachtige schalie en rijk is aan mineralen. Vanwege de hoge ligging op 680 meter heerst hier een koel microklimaat. Perfecte condities om een fraaie Chardonnay te kunnen maken. En dat in het hart van het o zo rode Chianti Classico district. De pluk is handmatig en de druiven worden met grote zorg gevinifieerd. Na een zachte persing volgt de alcoholische fermentatie op lage temperatuur (18° C) om de frisse en fruitige karakteristieken optimaal te behouden. Hierna volgt de malolactische gisting en, alvorens te worden gebotteld, een lagering van 6 maanden, 85% op roestvrij staal en 15% in barriques. Proefnotities: Helder strogeel, intens en fruitig bouquet waarin appel en citrus naar voren komen. De smaak geeft een plezierig vervolg: droog en harmonieus waarbij de frisse zuren zorgen voor eenschone afdronk. Op dronk en, mits goed bewaard, houdbaar tot 8 - 10 jaar na de oogst.Helder strogeel, intens en fruitig bouquet waarin appel en citrus naar voren komen. De smaak geeft een plezierig vervolg: droog en harmonieus waarbijde frisse zuren zorgen voor een schone afdronk. I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.
