Calcium bolus voor uw melkvee!

Om het risico op melkziekte te verkleinen is een goed rantsoen erg belangrijk. Maar toch hebben sommige koeien een verhoogde kans op melkziekte. Het behandelen van of de kans op melkziekte verkleinen kunt u doen met calcium bolussen.

 De bolus kunt u preventief gebruiken of gebruiken ter aanvulling bij een calcium infuus. Deze bolus bestaat uit 2 soorten calcium, de ene komt vrijwel direct vrij en de ander komt geleidelijk vrij. De calciumchloride (71%) komt snel vrij en de calciumsulfaat (29%) komt geleidelijk vrij. Daarnaast zitten er anionische zouten in de bolus die goed zijn op te nemen door de koe. Iedere Bovikalc bolus bevat 43 gram puur calcium.

Samenstelling: 
Calciumchloride 71%, Calciumsulfaat 29%

Toedienen en dosering:
Wanneer u deze bolus gebruikt om het risico op melkziekte te verkleinen dient u de 1e bolus toe wanneer de geboorte op gang komt. De 2e bolus kunt u direct na het kalven toedienen. Na 12 tot 15 uur na de 2e bolus kunt u de derde bolus ingeven. Vervolgens kan de laatste bolus weer 12 a 15 uur na de 3e bolus worden toegediend.
Wanneer u de bolus gebruikt bij behandeling van melkziekte dan kunt u één bolus 2 à 3 uur na het calcium infuus toedienen. De 2e bolus dient u 12 a 15 uur na de 1e bolus toe.

Let op! Belangrijke informatie: geef geen bolus in bij geval van paresis (verlamming). Dien de bolus ook niet toe aan koeien die tekenen van klinische melkkoorts vertonen.

It’s really pretty decent except for one thing.

I bought two of these for my basement and they do look great. They were easy to assemble and I’m happy with them. The problem is that the stitching on the fabric panels are almost the size of a machine basting stitch (which for non sewers means large temporary stitches). Because the panels are tight by design, the stitches had already started to come undone before I could finish assembling everything. Fortunately I can sew and I reinforced all the panels. I had to take the first ones back off the poles to do them but I did the second set before assembling. It’s really not a bad product for the money. It’s quality fabric and the design itself looks great. The stitching looks fine but it’s just not substantial enough for the purpose it is supposed to serve. I can’t imagine why it be sewn so insufficiently. I was able to resolve my issue because I can sew. I wasn’t planning on sewing nor did I really have the time. I could have made it myself but I didn’t want to and that is why I purchased this. I ended up using valuable time. The really unfortunate thing is, I have no other complaints. This is a manufacturing problem.
