The piece of limestone matrix measures 106 mm (4.2 inches) tall and the fossil ammonite measures 31 mm (1.2 inches), which is large for this species. The ammonite is very well preserved and has been prepared out of the rock to reveal the shell. The ribs are finely defined, and the pale yellow colour is beautiful.
