2019 finds veteran indie label Graveface Records (home to Casket Girls, Xiu Xiu, Appleseed Cast and more) charting some new/old territory. They're starting a subsidiary of Graveface called NEVERNOTGOTH. NNG will be home to many reissues of obscure darkwave/goth LPs but also will showcase some new talent making waves in the genre today. The first release on this new sub-imprint (GOTH001) is by Atlanta's Shouldies. Attention all goth kids, pop princesses, darkwave divas: the new sound still isn't rock and roll. At least not to Shouldies, a synth punk trio consisting of Yancey Ballard, John Pierce, and Daniel Eberlein, on a mission to fuse dance with a relatable dose of realness - but make it goth. The group rose from the ashes of the Atlanta music scene in 2017 to serve darkwave to the buttcracks and crevices of the city's sprawling highways and bigots, dance on the ghost of your face as you sit in the 5 o'clock traffic, whisper in your ear when you frequent, yet again, that bar with the shitty men. With lyrics that sound like the most profound page of your emo phase (but make it political), Shouldies layer earnest pacing over a soft fury of synth. You'll have a chance to let that sink in, as the alluring synthscape works in tandem with direct message - Eberlein and Pierce can be seen onstage focused intently on creating the backdrop for Ballard's delivery. Introspective ideas manifest into broader themes. Ballard recently commented on Atlanta's deceptively close proximity to homophobia and transphobia in Kerrang!: "A lot of the time, it's a fight to be heard because it's not 'as dangerous' as it is outside [Atlanta's perimeters]. People don't care about microaggressions. People don't care about discomfort. People care less than they should about full-on aggression because at least it's 'safer' here. 'At least it happens less'. 'It could be worse'."Life-long friends Ballard and Pierce collaborated on a number of projects before forming Shouldies with Eberlein, who they barely knew prior to, in summer of 2017. All three agreed that if they were going to make music, they wanted it to be accessible, relatable, and fluid. As Eberlein told Creative Loafing "We just wanna make songs that you can dance to, and with lyrics that are really meaningful... something that gets stuck in your head," he says. "It feels way more powerful than making some art statement that's supposed to be vague... People want to relate to music and dance and be happy." Shouldies first took the stage at Irrelevant Music Fest 2017 with Eberlein on drum machine and synths, Pierce on guitar and synths, and Ballard at the front. The rest is a history of sordid love affairs with pop and punk. Eberlein's background is mostly in techno and noise, and he tells Wussy Mag his dream concert would be "Arca perform[ing] in a giant old building, like a church or something." Pierce would rather meet you in the pit: his dream show is "Fugazi and Dead Kennedys at 529." Shouldies is both a surreal and austere union, not to be taken lightly, though the music feels as natural as jokes thrown around a group of friends. Then comes the Darth Vader synth: monotone lyrics materialize on the dance floor as exorcism, and the audience feels the echoes. Wherever Shouldies draw their edge, live shows draw cross-genre crowds and promise an experience with very little internet tracing. They must be cooking up something. If you ask them, they'll shrug their shoulders and tell you that you missed tea time. Now serving: shiny, hard, synth pop.

Good little oven
Color: Stainless Steel
Delivery was prompt. Wasn’t sure what to expect on the oven but the controls were fairly intuitive and have used several of the settings. Performs well on everything that we’ve used it for. The instructions are basic but adequate to get you cooking. The size was a little larger than anticipated, it is deeper and takes up more counterspace but you can cook a chicken in it! Looks great sitting on the counter. Not too industrial and the buttons and knobs make changing settings easy.

We love it!
Color: Stainless Steel, Color: Stainless Steel
Simply said, it’s great!
My wife absolutely loves this little oven. It has a bunch of options to choose from for cooking. You can use it as an air fryer, oven, you can cook perfect crispy wings, as well as a nice piece of steak with the included thermometer.
Since it’s very little compared to the regular house stove, its much easier and quicker to clean it.
It’s a must have for any home!

Best Toaster Oven Ever!
Color: Stainless Steel
I've had the oven about a week now and have used it numerous times. The air fried wings came out perfect. The oven baked chicken was perfectly cooked thanks to the probe and crisped up nicely. Toast is fast and just the right color each time. I give the oven high marks for the value and features. The oven's performance exceeds my expectations. The only reason I did not give this gem 5 stars is due to the oven door handle. When open, the door handle hits the counter top preventing it from opening fully. When the oven is hot, pulling something out is an issue due to the door not opening fully. Otherwise, I highly recommend this oven.

Great Product and Great Customer Service
Color: Stainless Steel
This little countertop oven checks all of the boxes for me.
First, even at its highest tempeture for baking bread at 450 the outside of the unit is warm to the touch but will not burn your hand.
It has all of the settings one would want for an oven to do icluding, reheat, PROOF (for bread) broil, stay warm etc. I love it and the best of all of this was my experience with their customer service. I started having an electrical glich with the unit soon after I bought it and reported the problem to the company. Well, then it stopped having that problem but intermittently did. The light would come on by itself and sometimes I could not get the oven to turn on. So, this ensued off and on for several months until I decided to once again contact customer service to report my problem. They took my information and then informed me that they would be happy to replace the unit. All I needed to do was send my unit back after receiving the replacement. Which they did and I did and VOILA, problem solved just like that. No rigamarole, no hassle just excellent customer service.

Fantasticallly engineered oven, cooks quickly and evenly, may need to adjust recipes
Color: Stainless Steel
4.5/5
This Typhur Sync Oven is a thoughtfully engineered toaster oven air fryer that has some of the best air fryer capabilities you can get out of a toaster oven air fryer, on par with and potentially more even cooking than the often superior basket air fryers. This is largely thanks to its fan placement and size, which is very similar to basket air fryers: large (roughly 6-7") and positioned over the top.
This large fan moves a lot of heat quickly and evenly, leading to really even cooking and much shorter bake time.
This oven looks and feels well built, with the walls being relatively well insulated stainless steel sheets (not a ton of heat emitted from it), heavy duty hinges, and primarily stainless steel accessories (and an enamel coated roasting rack).
There are multiple fan settings depending on the preset chosen, though the fan unfortunately can not turn off except for the proofing feature which has a low max temperature.
The temperature probe that comes with it is really easy to use and store. Racks can still be stored on top of the toaster oven without much issue even though the probe is also stored on top. If you're not careful you might tap the probe or knock it off, but unlikely.
Cooking is very even and quick. The Typhur cooks quicker than my previous toaster oven, and much more evenly. You may not need to move food around when air frying it, which is really impressive. Cooking is so quick that things may burn if you cook them at normal times. You may need to reduce cooking time by more than 25-30%, or lower temperature so things can cook more evenly inside and out, given fast convection cooking more noticeably cooks the outside more than the inside.
Couple cons:
- The only real issue I've noticed is rarely when heating up something in the top of the fan will vibrate slightly, which is mildly annoying and can shake the pans on top of it. Tapping the top of the oven will usually stop the vibration, which makes me think there may be a bit of play near the fan/heater. This issue rarely occurs.
- The cookies setting runs the fan on low speed, but it's still moving enough air to keep heating even. The problem is that because the oven is so much faster at cooking - even true on the low fan speed cookies preset - that larger cookies may be undercooked on the inside and/or darker brown than preferable on the outside. If I want my batch of large cookies to be cooked perfectly, I still use the conventional oven. This convection oven works quite well for smaller cookies though, and well enough for larger cookies if you figure out the right temp. The toaster oven recommends 330F for cookies, often 325F is recommended (25F lower than normal 350F), but I've found that even 320F is too high of a cooking temp for larger cookies, as they can be fully cooked on the outside but raw on the inside, like was the case with my 100gram (~1/3rd cup) chocolate chip cookies cooked at 320F. My 80g sugar cookies cooked at 300F seemed more similar to conventional, but were still more browned on the exterior than desirable.
