If you use an IP20-rated strip light with this profile, it will not be waterproof because the profile and strip light are both non-waterproof. However, if you use an IP65-rated strip light (as long as it fits), which is designed to withstand water jets from any direction, even if the LED profile is IP20, you can install it in places where water is present.
