Salvia nemorosa 'Ostfriesland', auch bekannt als Blütensalbei Ostfriesland oder Steppensalbei 'Ostfriesland', ist eine winterharte, pflegeleichte Staudenpflanze aus der Familie der Lippenblütler (Lamiaceae). Mit ihren kompakten, aufrechten Blütenständen und den leuchtend violett-blauen Blüten bringt sie vom Sommer bis in den Herbst Farbe in den Garten. Sie eignet sich ideal für Beete, Rabatten und Steingärten und ist ein echter Insektenmagnet.

Eigenschaften :

🌿 Wuchshöhe: Erreicht eine Höhe von ca. 40 bis 50 cm, ideal für den vorderen oder mittleren Bereich von Beeten.
🌱 Wuchsform: Buschig, aufrecht wachsend mit dichten, schlanken Blütenständen, die eine schöne vertikale Struktur schaffen.
🍃 Blätter: Dunkelgrün, leicht behaart und aromatisch duftend, typisch für Salbei.
🌸 Blüte: Juni bis September, violett-blaue Blüten in dichten Ähren – ein Anziehungspunkt für Bienen, Schmetterlinge und Hummeln.

Standort & Boden :

☀ Lichtbedarf: Sonnige Standorte werden bevorzugt – je mehr Sonne, desto üppiger die Blüte.
🌱 Boden: Gut durchlässiger, mäßig trockener bis leicht feuchter Boden. Toleriert nährstoffarme Böden, aber Staunässe unbedingt vermeiden.

Pflege & Winterhärte :

💧 Wasserbedarf: Trockenheitstolerant, benötigt nur wenig Wasser, wenn sie sich etabliert hat. Bei extremer Hitze gelegentlich wässern.

✂ Rückschnitt:

  • Nach der ersten Blüte im Sommer zurückschneiden, um eine zweite Blüte im Spätsommer zu fördern.
  • Im Herbst oder frühen Frühjahr bodennah zurückschneiden, um den Neuaustrieb zu unterstützen.
    ❄ Winterhärte: Vollkommen winterhart, übersteht kalte Winter ohne zusätzlichen Schutz.
